Years ago they married
for intimacy having tarried
the night shone like sun
when both became one
their happiness grew
with each discovery new
adjustments began
but no grumbling, man
both astonishingly different
but each lovingly Godsent
soon kids arrived
work load thrived
quite stressed and tensioned
yet 'I QUIT' not mentioned
they pressed on in love
letting go of that row
kids now grown
from nest having flown
the couple very much greying
but still together staying!
