He enters without a 'May I come in Ma'am?'
Her nose wrinkles in disgust..she looks at his filthy self and tries to stare him down.
No way. He doesn't bother. He's cool.
He nonchalantly walks towards the wooden desks where we are seated. Our noses wrinkle, faces turn away from him.
He's the least perturbed. He searches for a comfortable place to park his filthy, unwashed body. It takes him a good five to ten minutes, while we observe him with rapt attention,(no body wants him seated next to him/her!). He's in no hurry. Finally he finds a spot and curls himself in a sleeping position.
Yes, he attends class..to sleep! Ma'am has given up on him.
He simply takes us folk for granted. Some folk politely tried asking him to leave. He won't listen. Stubborn fellow. We don't have the guts to throw him out.
He doesn't utter one single word in class..how can he? Ma'am won't ask him any! Even if she does one day, he'd be indecipherable!
That's his reputation. He has no friends. He's an awful loner. So while we get busy listening to audio conversations, answering Ma'am's umpteen questions..this shoddy fellow just snoozes away into oblivion.
Two hours pass by in a whirr. Ma'am gives us homework, class is over. We say bye bye to one another while some surround her with doubts and inquiries.
But this shabby, old dog has already made his way out through the door as if on cue!
